Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 

• Gain a clear awareness of why Mandarin is useful for business communication today

• Learn the basics of Mandarin sounds using the Pinyin system and the four tones with simple gesture aids

• Use common greetings and polite phrases to attend interview in Mandarin

• Formulate simple sentences to introduce themselves, including their name and background

• Recognize and use a few important business words to support basic interactions.

📌Module 1: Introduction to Mandarin & Pronunciation Basics

• The role of Mandarin in business

• Overview of Pinyin: Mandarin pronunciation system

• Introduction to the 4 tones with gesture aids

• Practice of simple syllables and tone combinations

• Basic greetings: Polite phrases

• Activity: Repetition drill & tone practice in pairs

📌Module 2: Self-Introduction for Interview Context

• Simple sentence structure

• Vocabulary

• Activity: Pair practice introducing yourself

📌Module 3: Basic Interview Vocabulary & Role Play

• Introduction of 4–5 high-frequency interview terms

• Practice: Matching activity and pronunciation drill
